A K M Azher Hossain

A K M Azher Hossain began his teaching journey in 1950, a time when the importance of formal education was only beginning to take root in many rural areas of Bangladesh. Through his tireless efforts over the next four decades, he became one of the most admired educators in the region.

Although A K M Azher Hossain retired in 1990, his influence never faded. Even after his passing in 2019, his students, colleagues, and community members continue to speak of him with respect and affection. His former students — many of whom hold important positions today — remember his sharp intellect, unwavering discipline, and warm encouragement.

In Kazipur and surrounding regions, his name is spoken with pride, and his contributions are remembered as foundational to the community’s growth in education and civic life. Annual school events, local gatherings, and family stories continue to carry his memory forward.

Azher Hossain passed away on 2nd May 2019, leaving behind a legacy rooted in academic excellence, integrity, and service.
