Family
A K M Azher Hossain was the son of Deraj Uddin Sarkar and Yatun Nessa. Raised in a household that valued tradition and integrity, he grew up with one elder brother, Shajahan Ali Sarkar, one elder sister and three younger sisters. His early life in a rural setting shaped his deep sense of family, responsibility, and resilience.
He married Khaleda Banu Usha, daughter of the esteemed Dr. Khalilur Rahman and Amena Begum. Together, they built a strong and loving family, raising five sons and one daughter, each of whom went on to establish their own legacies.
His eldest son, the late Khairul Hasan Aru, has a son, named Niamul Hassan Leon, who married to Jenifar Jeba; the couple has two sons, Azhan Hassan Zuham and Arzan Hassan Zohair. Niamul Hasan Leon Lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh with his family
The second son, Professor Dr. Khalekuzzaman Sabuj, is married to Professor Dr. Sania Sitara Shikha, and they have a daughter named Tasnia Zaman Supoma. Khalekuzzaam Sabuj Lives in Dhaka, Bangladesh with his family.
The third son, Kamrul Hassan Taru, is married to Rina Nasrin, and their daughter Kamrun Nahar Tanu is married to Masudur Rahman Masud. They have two children, a son, Hasin Ishrak Nihal, and a daughter, Tanjum Meherin. Kamrul Hasan Taru lives in Kazipur, Sirajganj, Bangladesh with his wife and Daughter. A K M Azher Hossain’s only daughter, Anzuman Ara Mimi, is married to Rafiquzzaman Piplu and they have a daughter, Kasfia Zaman Radita, who is married to Rafiul Islam. Anzuman Ara Mimi lives in Rajshahi with her husband and her daughter Radita lives in Calgary, Canada with her husband
The fifth son, Moynul Morshed Tito, is married to Nayma Akther Banya; they have a daughter, Mohchina Morshed Medha, and a son, Naymur Morshed Mugdha. Moynul Morshed Tito live in Virginia, USA with his family.
The youngest son, Khalid Hasan Pial, is married to Sharmina Shopna, and they have two children: a son, Saifan bin Khalid, and a daughter, Samaira Mahnoor Khalid. Khalid Hasan Pial lives in London, UK with his family.
A K M Azher Hossain passed away on May 2, 2019, leaving behind a rich legacy of family unity, respect, and moral values. His life was a testament to dedication, humility, and wisdom. He is fondly remembered and deeply respected by his family, descendants, and community, all of whom continue to carry forward the principles he lived by.
